Our Founder
  • Bhagyashri R. Mhatre is a passionate food technologist with an experience of over 14 years in the industry from various domains like R&D , NPD , Plant designing, Production , QA & QC , Procurement etc. Amongst these she possess a keen interest in New Product Development & R&D.
  • She draws the majority of her experience from the fruits & vegetable processing Industry and holds a degree in B.TECH Food Technology from North Maharashtra University Jalgaon.
  • Bhagyashri realized she does also possess a strong business acumen, something that led her to start ‘Food Monk Consultants’ which has been successfully running since 2018. She has worked on several food & beverage products & has helped various start-ups.
  • With an extremely capable and experienced mind set Bhagyashri is well known for completing projects right from the conception to their commissioning.
  • She is further aided by her plethora of knowledge in product cost management, plant layout designing, raw material procurement, raw material assessment, vendor management, pilot trials, plant level production management, food safety management and imparting training to the production floor staff.
  • Bhagyashri has also worked as an Entrepreneurship Development Trainer with MITCON in the food processing sector thus enabling her to intrinsically under- stand start-ups and the challenges they face.
  • Bhagyashri is a qualified Lead Auditor for ISO 22000:2005
  • (Food safety management system), and also well versed with ISO 9001, EMS 140001 & OHSAS 18001, HACCP, and GMP & GHP.
  • Accompanied by three other partners Bhagyashri started a venture called ‘BakeKnowlogy’, that is a systematically designed, bakery training programme which provides extensive theory and OJT for future bakery entrepreneurs or students.

Dr.Rakesh Chavan – Expert

(Market research & Strategy planning)

Rakesh is a healthcare practitioner turned entrepreneur. Having completed his Masters in Public Health (Health Policy, Economics & Finance) from the prestigious Tata Institute of Social Sciences. Mumbai – London School of Economics, London; With a rare blend of skill sets and an entrepreneurial mindset, he decided to venture into the consulting space. He guides on the market research front and strategic planning for the food strat ups.

He is an active mentor in the Indian startup ecosystem, and also an advisor to health & Nutrition tech startups in the areas of strategy and innovation. He advises regularly Venture Capital funds for the evaluation of the startups.

Rakesh is also advising med-tech startups from UNSW, Australia and he is India lead for Boston-based Equatorius which connects corporate innovation arms to Indian startups to accelerate their growth. Currently building high-impact products primarily for women’s health.& Nutrition.

Mr. Ajinkya S Rasane

(Executive New Product Development)

Ajinkya has completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Food Safety & Quality Analysis with experience of about 4 years in Food Processing Industry. With his Organizational Skills & Strong Analytical abilities he has a master hand in Problem Solving, Dealing with Ambiguity and Effectively Prioritizing Business needs. His mastery includes in development of Sweets and Confectionary, Spices, Seasonings, RTE foods, RTC gravies & Cooking pastes etc.

Ms. Kulvinder Kaur

Kulvinder is a food science and technology master’s graduate from a prestigious institute with two years of experience in the snacks and milk processing industry. She specializes in non-alcoholic beverages and millet-based products, and her microbiology background has given her an edge in quality control. Kulvinder is dedicated to providing clients with shelf-life retaining solutions that maintain the originality of the product.

Karuna is a Food Technologist with two years of experience in the food industry and a master’s degree from a reputed institute. Her areas of expertise include Bakery, Beverages, Frozen Products, RTC Products, RTE Products, and Clean Label Products. She is skilled at managing projects from concept to launch, ensuring that all products meet regulatory requirements and consumer expectations.She is dedicated to continuous learning and improvement, staying abreast of emerging trends and technologies to keep Food Monk Consultancy at the forefront of innovation.

Shweta is food technologist with hands-on experience in the bakery and snack-based industry, possesses expertise in quality control, including lab work analyst. Her strong problem-solving skills and project management capabilities, coupled with a commitment to continuous learning and knowledge improvement, drive her success in ensuring product excellence and process optimization.

Mr. Aniket V Jagdale

Aniket is a food technologist with a Master’s degree from a prestigious institute and has more than three years of experience working in various food industries. He has worked with well-known companies in the fruit processing and dairy fields, specializing in the development of RTE foods, processed fruit products, beverages, snacks, milk, and milk products. Aniket also possesses extensive knowledge of food processing equipment and its specifications. Nikhil is chemical engineer by profession with around 18+ years of experience but his inclination towards the right nutrition didn’t let him settle in a petro chemical industry. He has been researched & developed many ingredients and patentable technologies with the sheer willingness to support the food and nutrition industry. Nikhil is helping entrepreneurs to develop clean label, healthy and nutritious products. Nikhil also periodically conducts lectures, talks on importance of nutrition and eating right as a part of his dream project ‘Building Healthier Society.
